New Haywood Door Wreath

So I finished our new door wreath but sadly to say that I can't hang it (boo-hoo!). The burlap hanger is too thick for the door to close and the screen door smashes my pretty flowers. So.... I've decided that I will make a little vignette in my entry way. I am going to try and feature the letter "H" in some way. How cool would a bunch of different Hs' be??? Or a bunch of "things" that start with an H. Ok, I'm starting feel better about not being able to hang on my door and now I'm on a mission! Off to my local antique and craft stores!!! In the mean time here's my wreath!!!

Old Metal Hanger Turned Burlap Beautiful!

Freshen up your old door wreath hanger! All you need is a door hanger (mine is an old metal one from HB -$2.99), some burlap cording (ribbon, yarn or fabric might work too) and your trustee old glue gun. I think it turned out pretty good! I will caution you on something I didn't realize until AFTER the fact....Grrrrr!!! Sigh :-/ Take into account the thickness that the burlap cord will add to the top of the hanger...it may prevent you from being able to close your door! Other than that...Viola, brand new hanger! What do you think? Pictures of my new wreath to follow...
